Examples of after hours EMERGENCIES:

    - Your pet has been bitten by a snake or stung by a scorpion

    - Your pet has sustained a serious injury and you cannot stop the bleeding or you expect your pet's condition to seriously deteriorate if it does not receive medical attention before the clinic opens again

    - Your pet has taken ill after hours and its condition is deteriorating at such a pace that you expect it will have a greatly decreased chance of recovery if it does not receive medical attention before the clinic opens again

Examples of NON-EMERGENIES after hours:

       - If you have an appointment for something else in town and realise the night before that appointment that you neglected to make an appointment with us to conveniently bring you pet along and spare an extra trip - please be kind enough to make non-emergency appointments with us during our trade hours, by phoning our office number as you have most likely done to make your non-veterinary appointments with other people.

    - If your pet has been ill for a while (that while including some of the hours that VetsWeb was open) and you suddenly realise that it is in mortal danger due to your neglect - please be so kind as to ensure that you do not create an emergency after hours situation which could have been seen to during hours by being tardy. Not only will you inconvenience me and yourself unnecessarily but your pet has a poorer chance of survival and your bill will be significantly increased as compared to a timely during hours consult

    - You want to make an appointment for "first thing tomorrow morning" for anything that is not an emergency - the clinic opens at 9:00. First appointment is 9:30. You have time to phone the office and you live too far to do so, please make your appointments in advance and do not misuse the emergency number due to lack of advance planning.
